Want to make a difference?

As Senior Quality Manager (all genders), you are responsible for further developing and managing our quality standards across the entire supply chain. You ensure that every ARMEDANGELS product meets the highest requirements in terms of safety, performance, and sustainability. With a holistic approach to quality systems, audits, and continuous improvement processes, you strengthen our ethical and environmentally responsible production. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you foster a culture of excellence that builds trust — both with our customers and our partners — and consistently drives forward our mission to create fashion that is as fair and sustainable as possible.

Who we are?
Since 2007, ARMEDANGELS has been proving that fashion can be different: innovative and timeless, produced according to responsible standards for people and planet. No wage slavery, no harmful chemicals, no cheap mass production. What started as a simple idea — printing T-shirts and using the proceeds to support projects and organizations — has grown into a company that is now one of Europe’s leading sustainable lifestyle labels. With a team of 160 people and four collections per year, we at ARMEDANGELS show that responsibility and great product design are not mutually exclusive.

What is the job about?

  • You develop and implement a pragmatic quality management system that anchors our standards for safety, performance, and sustainability measurably within production.

  • You manage and lead upstream testing (pre-production) and ensure that materials & components (fabrics, trims, prints/embellishments) meet our requirements before bulk production — including physical and chemical testing, clear approval decisions, and well-documented standards.

  • You manage and conduct audits and inspections along the supply chain (e.g. pre-production, inline, final), identify deviations early, and ensure effective Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA).

  • You oversee supplier quality management, evaluate supplier performance, and ensure that materials, workmanship, and processes meet our quality expectations.

  • You analyze quality KPIs (e.g. test pass rate, complaint rates, defect rates, rework rates, compliance values, CAPA lead time) and derive concrete improvement measures from them.

  • You work closely with Product, Production, and Supply Chain teams, ensuring quality is firmly embedded in development, material approvals, production ramp-up, and bulk production.

  • You lead and develop the Quality Team, strengthening expertise, ownership, and a culture where quality and responsibility go hand in hand.

We'd love to hear from you if you have

  • Extensive experience in Quality Assurance / Manufacturing, ideally in a sustainability-driven production environment (fashion/apparel).

  • Strong expertise in upstream material & component testing (physical & chemical), including defining requirements, interpreting test results, and implementing robust approval processes.

  • Experience working with external laboratories/testing partners (management, turnaround times, quality of results, cost control) as well as risk-based testing approaches (based on material, category, supplier history).

  • Strong competence in audits, process control, and root cause analysis, including sustainable implementation of CAPA.

  • Experience in supplier management and handling quality deviations — clear in communication and solution-oriented in execution.

  • Excellent analytical skills, strong affinity for numbers and data, and confidence in KPI-based reporting.

  • Hands-on leadership, strong stakeholder communication, and a genuine commitment to ethical, transparent, and resource-conscious production.

What can you expect?

  • Inspiring work environment: Work in an innovative company that acts as sustainably as possible and continuously sets new standards.

  • Flexibility: Trust-based working hours and the possibility to work hybrid.

  • Team spirit: Look forward to unforgettable parties with amazing colleagues, an office full of history, and a big love for dogs (which are more than welcome in the office).

  • Benefits: €50 monthly non-cash benefit via guudcard, ARMEDANGELS shopping vouchers, great employee discounts, a JobRad bike lease or Deutschlandticket, and a company pension scheme.

  • Support: Our Employee Assistance Program supports you confidentially and independently in every life situation.

  • Come as you are: No dress code — just come as you are (clothes are of course required!).
