Want to make a difference?

As a Frontend Developer (all genders), you continuously develop and improve our webshop frontend, ensuring that performance, usability, and conversion go hand in hand. You optimize our theme, integrate and adapt apps, build custom features, and make sure our shop remains stable, scalable, and future-proof – always following established standards.

You take ownership of the clean go-live of functionalities developed together with UX, E-Commerce, Creative, and external partners. At the same time, you optimize existing components and combine technical expertise with a strong understanding of business impact.

Your goal: a high-performing, well-structured webshop that makes our sustainable brand values tangible in the digital space.

Who we are...

Since 2007, ARMEDANGELS has proven that fashion can be done differently: innovative and timeless, produced according to responsible standards for people and planet. No wage slavery, no harmful chemicals, no cheap mass production. What started as a simple idea to print T-shirts and donate profits to charitable projects has grown into one of Europe’s largest sustainable lifestyle brands. With a team of 160 people and four collections per year, we show that responsibility and great product design are not mutually exclusive.

What is the job about?

  • You work with Shopify themes (Liquid), HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, ensuring clean and maintainable code structures.

  • You follow Shopify standards and established best practices, creating a clear structure of templates and sections to ensure long-term maintainability.

  • You integrate, configure, and optimize Shopify apps and develop custom solutions where standard functionalities are not sufficient.

  • You continuously improve performance, loading times, and the technical SEO structure of the shop.

  • You collaborate closely with UX, E-Commerce, and Creative teams to translate requirements into technically sound and conversion-focused solutions.

  • You implement frontend requirements in the webshop, considering UI, performance, and quality standards.

  • You review external developments, conduct code reviews, and ensure technical standards are consistently maintained.

We'd love to hear from you if you have

  • Completed training or a degree in web development, computer science, or a comparable field.

  • Several years of experience in frontend development within e-commerce, ideally with a strong focus on Shopify.

  • Strong expertise in Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

  • Solid experience in customizing Shopify themes as well as integrating and adapting apps.

  • Strong understanding of performance optimization, technical SEO, and conversion-relevant shop logic.

  • Structured, self-driven way of working and enthusiasm for cross-functional collaboration.

What can you expect?

  • Inspiring work environment: Work in an innovative company that strives to operate as sustainably as possible and continuously sets new standards.

  • Flexibility: Trust-based working hours and the option to work in a hybrid setup.

  • Team spirit: Look forward to unforgettable celebrations with great colleagues, an office full of history, and a love for dogs (who are always welcome in the office).

  • Benefits: €50 monthly benefit via guudcard, ARMEDANGELS shopping vouchers, attractive employee discounts, a JobRad bike leasing option or Germany ticket, and a company pension scheme.

  • Support: Our Employee Assistance Program offers confidential support in every life situation, independent of your employer.

  • Come as you are: No dress code – just come as you are (clothes are, of course, required).
